“Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit.”

"Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.”

P.S. I Love You

I love, love, love this novel!!!

I'm not the person that like to read and I have never had such an extreme reaction to any book. The book is an easy read, and it captures you that you do not want to put it down.

It is a wonderful and heart rending story about Holly Kennedy, a beautiful, smart and married to the love of her life -Gerry. When Gerry's life is taken by an illness, it takes the life out of Holly. The only one who can help her is the person who is no longer there. Nobody knows Holly better than Gerry, so it's a good thing he planned ahead. Before he died, Gerry wrote Holly a series of 10 letters that will guide her, not only through her grief but in rediscovering herself. The messages are Gerry's way of informing Holly life goes on. The messages include various tasks and treats Gerry has left for Holly. This is his way of letting her know he will always be there for her.

Gerry has left her a bundle of notes, gently guiding her into her new life without him, each signed "PS, I Love You".
Her best friends and family begin to worry that Gerry's letters are keeping Holly tied to the past, but, in fact, each letter is pushing her further into a new future.

After read this book, I'm so jealous to Holly(not the part that she lost Gerry!).She was so lucky to be married to Gerry as even though he drove her crazy, he always reassurred her and stood by her no matter what she wanted to do. When he said he knew what he wanted and that he had it here in his hands, I just melted. The journey you go on with the Holly and Gerry characters really tugs at your heart strings.

It shows a really deep love and understanding and the fears and laughter that come with really being with someone and sometimes fearing they will leave you in some way, then you won’t know what to do.

I can’t say enough good about it—-I laughed and cried and felt hope is out there!

Although a sad story, it is an encouragement to all to LIVE now….you just don’t know what tommorrow will hold.
